Programming C8 Corvette Garage Door Opener Easy Guide (2020-2023)

The car viser button is actually just reading the remote and recording a copy of its frequency and output. It’s literally cloning your remote that’s already married to your door.

For whatever reason this process did not work with my LiftMaster garage door with several attempts. Instructions in another video which does not require pressing a learn button on the ceiling unit (or anywhere else) did work right away.

To program 3 clickers, do I press both left and right buttons then program all 3 clickers, or do I press both left and right buttons each time for the 3 different clickers?

This did not work for me using a recent Liftmaster. The LED flashes slowly but never fast as you have here when I hold the remote beside it and press a button. Tried pressing a few times again no result. I have a 2023 C8. Anybody else have the same problem.

Here’s the rub: I had no issue setting my garage door. I have other GM vehicles to I knew what to do. HOWEVER, setting my gate code wipes out the garage and vice versa! Yes, I used two different buttons. Yes, I have done this several times. WTF??

I did it and it worked but when I tried to program a gate door the garage door won't open.

Do not follow the instructions in the video if you already have a door programmed. The first erases all programmed doors

This video really should be taken down. It does more harm than good. Pushing the first and third buttons wipes out all of your presets. You don't need to even do this if you're just setting one button. If you had a second and third button programmed, you will have to do it again. Also, you only need to hold the button you're programming until it fast flashes. Then you hold the garage door opener until it flashes again. Lastly, you don't even need to put your garage door opener in learn mode. This video is a disaster.

The instructions in my owner’s manual is wrong. Following the manual would never program your car.

Makes zero sense that in order to program the universal button on the visor we not only use the garage remote to program the button but after doing that we need to get on a ladder and press the learn button on the garage door opener?! Who at GM programmed this BS?

All I needed to program the universal remotes in my other cars was to hold the garage remote while holding one of the universal buttons in the car.
