Do NOT neglect this muscle

There is ONE muscle group that should absolutely NOT be neglected.

Exercising it won’t just make you look jacked as a bull, it’ll also make you harder to knockout and slowdown your aging.

Unfortunately, it’s overlooked in most people’s gym routines.

That muscle group is your NECK.

So don’t neglect basics like bridging against a wall with a pillow.

Or simple banded rotations.

That brick guy has no neck, just shoulders to head.

This is why I wear a heavy headset for my 10 hours of gaming a day.

Just makes me think of neck bridges from wrestling. I hated doing them but i guess i should be thankful 🤷🏾‍♂️

or just train traps, since they connect to the neck. Direct neck training for most people has more potential cons than pros, but if you're an athlete that might change.

Another good neck routine is using a foam roller (to polystyrene type, not the nobby type).

If you're already rolling for your lower and upper back, roll up to your shoulder and neck area while you're doing a glute bridge.

It will be more difficult when the roller goes "up" from the shoulder/trap area.

Eventually you can do a glute bridge with the only support being the nape of your skull on the foam roller. Once you get to this point you can slightly twist your upper body and carefully move your head from side to side.

I train my neck 3 days a week for judo. Day 1 is neck bridges. Day 2 front neck curls with 10kg plate. Day 3 side curls 15kg plate, and (I call them neck rolls, just like neck bridges but with side of the neck, using thick canvas gymstick) neck rolls, add maybe 5kg, 10kg and 15kg for each set increasingly. Been doing these for a few months made my neck look bloated from muscle.

Mewing while lifting heavy helps a lot. I once fell into a bush of thorns supine, that was a workout in itself

Absolute freedom is not nearly as good as it should be.
Without an aim you don’t have a why. Without a why you will always be wanting, feeling like there should be something you are devoted to, yet never finding it.

I have a 20 inch neck (19.6 but I have to wear 20 shirts the rest dont fit). No one notices because I have a big head (8) and chest (52") too.
I've never been knocked out. Didn't know about the aging.

Mastoise are completely overlooked for one good reason because people don't know enough about it to do it properly. Which it can be said on anything to do with fitness but specifically that.

I believe that’s why Mui Thai fighters are so hard to knock out in the UFC. They train the neck.

I preach that all of the time. I mostly stick to neck curls these days. Used to do all 4 ways but found it redundant. Neck curls off of a bench, worked up to 90lbs for 20 reps. I've been slacking lately but can do 45lbs for 35+ reps at any given time still
