After enduring discrimination and trauma due to her blindness, Addie seeks solace in new experiences that offer her a sense of freedom. It was because of that draw to freedom that she discovered her passion for skiing, ice climbing, and rock climbing.

Although these outdoor activities present unique challenges for a person without sight, the true struggle lies in seeking acceptance within the outdoor community as a disabled person.
