All Punctuation Marks | What is English Punctuation??

In this English writing lesson, you will learn all the punctuation marks that we use in English and what they are called. Punctuation is extremely important because it adds clarity to the meaning of a sentence. If you don't use punctuation, your writing will be ambiguous. But don't worry if you're not an expert yet! Native English speakers really suck at using punctuation!! This series will help you improve your English writing skills.

Hi Mark, a curiosity about Brazilian Portuguese :underscore we call "underline". Furthermore there are a bunch of English words that we use which have nothing to do with the real meaning in English. Eg: bilboard we call outdoor.
Tuxedo we call smoking.
And so on...

Tilde (~) is usually placed over Spanish n when pronounced ny (as in señor ) or Portuguese a or o when nasalized (as in São Paulo )


The grave accent is a diacritical mark in many written languages, including Breton, Catalan, Corsican, Dutch, Emilian-Romagnol, French, West Frisian, Greek, Haitian Creole, Italian, Ligurian, Mohawk, Occitan, Portuguese, Romansh, Sardinian, Scots Gaelic, Vietnamese, Welsh, and Yoruba.

I use no.6 symbol between two letters or words if I miss to write any letter or word that I should have included and just above that symbol I mention the missed word. But don’t know if I am write. I get confused when to use which punctuation mark especially ellipsis, tilde, back and forward slash and those brackets.

Hi professor, I'm Brazilian and the grave accent is a punctuation that we use in Portuguese to indicate a double letter like ( a+a=à) (the+the) it'd be something like that haha, but it's a specific about other languages. If you know this in English, I'd like to know. Bye.

The tilde is used to represent irrational numbers.
Instead of writing one third as you just do, 3.3~ because the tilde means the number just keeps repeating forever.

Well, Mark in all the marks you are confused are used in programming, those are special reserved charaters in the programming and each one of have their own meaning in programing language.
