In this video you will learn how to read maths symbols and equations in English and improve your maths vocabulary ( or math vocabulary). You will learn how to read addition, subtraction, multiplication and division equations as well as how to read equations involving brackets, fractions, decimals, square roots and the exponents. You will also learn how to read “greater than”, “smaller than” “is not equal to”, “greater than or equal to”, “smaller than or equal to” or the “approximately equal to” signs and many more ( ≈ ÷ ≠ √ ≤ ≥ × - = + ). You will also learn the difference between math and maths, two short forms for mathematics. There is a test at the end so stay tuned.

And, the symbol (→) reads 'tends to' or 'approaching towards'.
Like x→0 means 'x tends to zero' .
This is used in limis, a calculus concept where you limit your function. lim ₓ→ₐ f(x ) reads
'Limit of x tends to a on f of x'
