Prepare teatime with me in my enchanted cottage. Special recipes for happiness and relaxation!
Показать описание
I believe we can make life magical, and even something as small as a cup of tea can be enchanting.
Let's make teatime relaxing and happy today. Cardamom is known in folklore as the herb of love, pleasure, beauty, and harmony. With ginger and cinnamon to banish negativity, it makes for a mildly sweet and comforting crispy cookie to dip into your happiness tea.
Around the world, honey is believed to represent happiness, love, prosperity, and abundance. Some think adding honey to tea attracts kindness. Let's stir some into our chamomile tea, with our magical, glittery, honey spoons!
Chamomile tea is known to be relaxing and soothing. I'll add cardamom to increase the pleasure and beauty of this enchanting teatime.
RECIPES:
Magical Melting Teaspoons
1/2 cup honey
2 cup sugar
1 tsp white vinegar
1/4 cup water
Edible glitter
Silicone spoon molds (mine is from Michaels)
Place all the ingredients into a heavy bottom saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to a gentle simmer and cook without stirring until it reaches "hard crack" stage (303 degrees).
Dust a tiny bit of glitter into the spoon portion of each spoon mold.
Once it has reached the "hard crack stage", remove it from the heat and cool slightly, and pour carefully into molds, ⅔ full. Allow to cool completely before removing.
Pour extra honey out onto parchment for easy disposal and immediately rinse out pot with hot water.
Comforting Cardamom Cookies
1 cup Flour
1/4 tsp Baking soda
1 tsp Cardamom, ground
1 tsp Cinnamon, ground
1/2 tsp Ginger, ground
1 Egg
3/4 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Melted Salted Butter
In large bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cardamon, and ginger.
In another bowl, beat egg until frothy.
Beat sugar and butter into egg. Mix well.
Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients. Mix until batter is smooth.
Drop by spoonfuls onto parchment paper on large cookie sheets.
Bake in 350° oven for 12 - 14 minutes or until brown.
Here's the poem I was reading:
Envoy by Robert Louis Stevenson
Go, little book, and wish to all
Flowers in the garden, meat in the hall,
A bin of wine, a spice of wit,
A house with lawns enclosing it,
A living river by the door,
A nightingale in the sycamore!
