I know that there are different adaptions & the writers can make the story however they want to, but this pretty much contradicts the original storyline.

To start things off Uncle Ben was killed during a bank & as much as I like Spiderman, a lot of that happened to him had little to do with the radioactive spider.

If we go by the original storyline, Uncle Ben still dies. He didn't even meet MJ until after he became Spiderman. Keep in mind that everything I'm saying is in the original storyline.

If we go by this logic, then Peter would've married Gwen Stacy not MJ because in the original storyline Gwen Stacy was Peter's love interest. The radioactive spider had little to do with him being a superhero.

Peter became Spiderman because he felt Uncle Ben's death. He can blame the radioactive spider all he wants, but it wasn't responsible for Uncle Ben's death.

He unintentionally Gwen Stacy in the storyline not the radioactive spider. My point is that the radioactive spider may've played, but the decision were ultimately Peter's.
