Hundreds make history in Santee’s first Pride walk

The excitement in the parking lot of Santee United Methodist Church Saturday outshined the concerns of protests. KPBS reporter Katie Hyson went to what attendees say was the first community pride walk in Santee’s history.

This was not the first pride walk this church had been doing. These pride walks for a few years now. But this was definitely a bigger turn out. And was generally supported by people if santee as a resident, I was pleasantly surprised to see all the people who are supportive
