While I do love sharks and absolutely abhore the way we have devestated them, infested still works. For one most large shark species are nomadic. They typically roam hundreds to thousands of miles throughout the ocean. For two, infested just means a presence, and often specifically means they can cause damage. Which sharks can. Because they are sharks.
