UP 844 Arrives at home plate in Omaha

UP Steam locomotive 844 traveled from Cheyenne WY to Omaha, NE for the 2017 College World Series today. It is parked on what is called Home Plate next to the Ameritrade Stadium. It will be on public display along with a AC45C (AC44 Gevo) and some heritage passenger cars.

The UP brings something special every year during the series, this is the first time 844 has been back after a major overhaul and rebuild was recently completed.

I was there when it came into council bluffs and my hometown fremont Nebraska. It was a late birthday present it came on july first but my birthday was june 30th

I got her as she came into town a few days ago at the 10th street overpass! Then in the CB yard, before she made this move! The other day she was under her own power minus the AC44

Great catch and great vid bob, but I have been to Omaha several times and never feel that way about Omaha-lol
