As Canada's largest Engineering school, Waterloo Engineering is home to an active and growing graduate student community of more than 2,000 motivated, curious, and passionate problem solvers who are changing the world we live in.

Jennifer Boger is a professor in the Department of Systems Design Engineering, the Schlegel Chair in Technology for Independent Living at the Research Institute for Aging, and the Director, Intelligent Technologies for Wellness and Independent Living (ITWIL) Lab. Jennifer supervises graduate students who research the transdisciplinary execution of user-centred design practices to create innovative, usable, and useful solutions to large, complex problems.

George Shaker is an adjunct professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering as well as the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering. He is also a member of the University of Waterloo Centre for Intelligent Antenna and Radio Systems (CIARS), Centre for Bioengineering and Biotechnology (CBB), and the Waterloo Centre for Automotive Research (WatCAR). George supervises graduate students who are researching the development of wireless technologies and sensors at the Research Institute for Aging in Waterloo.
