Three million people in Australia, or 17% of the adult population, experience financial exclusion. Being ‘financially excluded’ means you don’t have access to a small line of credit, transaction account or general insurance. This means that you’re not prepared for life’s surprises, leaving you vulnerable to unfair lending practices and the threat of being caught in a trap of financial exclusion and debt.

Since 2003, NAB and Good Shepherd Microfinance have been working together to build financial capability and foster financial inclusion. We share a goal - to provide fair and affordable loans to one million low income people in Australia by 2018.
