In this video, we tell you about the key differences between the upcoming 7-Seater SUV from Jeep the Meridian and its younger sibling, the 5-Seater Compass.

We differentiate the two SUVs based on their dimensions, engine specifications, powertrains and features.

The Meridian will be coming with the 2.0 L turbocharged diesel engine, developing 170 HP & 350 Nm of Torque. This engine is coupled with a 9-Speed Torque Converter Automatic Transmission or a 6-Speed Manual Transmission.

In terms of features, both the SUVs get a 10.25-inch touch infotainment system, a 9-speaker surround sound system with subwoofers. To add to the comfort features, it gets rain-sensing wipers, a 360-degree parking camera, wireless mobile charging and ventilated front seats.

In terms of safety equipment, they get 6-Airbags, Rain Brake Support, Electronic Roll Mitigation & Electronic Stability Control.

The Compass rivals the Mahindra XUV 700 AWD, Hyundai Tucson & the VW Tiguan. Whereas, the Meridian will compete with the Skoda Kodiaq, MG Gloster & Toyota Fortuner.
