I did a little video to explain the upcoming HELIOS Virtual Server Appliance. It is an ready-to-deploy VM file server solution for Mac, Windows, and Web clients.

The benefit is that customers receive a turnkey solution, including:

- Customized Linux-based VM image supported by HELIOS
- HELIOS Configuration Assistant to manage the system
- HELIOS File Server Bundle UB2 pre-installed
- Supported for VMware, Citrix XenServer, and Microsoft Hyper-V
- LVM-based management of disks, volume groups, and file systems

This system allows adding and removing disks on-the-fly. Also file system resizing is fully supported without any service interrupt. This kind volume management was only available on enterprise-grade systems, running AIX or Solaris ZFS. Now customers can enjoy similar capabilities running the HELIOS Virtual Server Appliance. The HELIOS Configuration Assistant makes this kind of tasks a child's play.

At present we are in beta testing with HELIOS partners.
