I'm learning this song for my P&W band - regarding the "staging" occurring during the performance - very reminiscent of Talking Heads Stop Making Sense or, more likely - someone saw Rush's R40 tour same year as this video & was inspired - Rush had roadies on stage almost the entire show, constantly changing the staging to match the era of the songs they were playing.

Great song but that stage crew bit was just weird. I love this song. It never gets old. And how did the crowd sit so still through that?

i wonder if this staging was somewhat danielson inspired. it feels very reminiscent of the whole cheery sunday-school flannelgraph thing they had going on.
