I agree, can't wait for my Aspire 5 to arrive... Walmart is pushing the Aspire 3 in stor... luckily, I did a quick research before buying and realized the Aspire 5 (online) costs a little but more than the Aspire 3 and I decided to order online... nice review.

For me biggest deal breaker is Sound Quality of Acer Aspire 5 there is Very low Sound in compare to HP in Bestbuy i have Barely listen Anything on Full Volume But On the Other Hand HP 15 was Loudest Laptop i Have Found in Bestbuy Clear Sound That was Deal Breaking for me bcz I buy Laptop Specially Online Classes ‘ and One thing more i Have Play 8k Video On Both to b honest Acer Was Bufring And Strugling But HP Played that 8k Video Like A Butter ‘ So i Buy Hp today 😉

I honestly don't get how you can not need an ethernet port. With Gigabit internet plans you would not even use half of your connection speeds on WiFI.

I purchased an Acer Aspire 5 17.3" Laptop - Silver (Intel Core i5-1135G7/1TB SSD/20GB RAM/Windows 11) for my wife and this will basically sit on her desk 90% of the time, HP offers nothing comparable at a price point of $999 cdn ... based on your comparison I think she will have a laptop that will last for years to come. Thoughts?

So, with the Acer Aspire 5, with the 4gb of ram soldered to the board, you can't go higher than a 4gb memory stick, to make the memory run in dual channel? So, potentially, only a max of 8gb, can run in dual channel? This doesn't seem very practical, especially if you get an AMD/Radeon based machine, since the Radeon graphics performs better with dual channel ram.
