i love Meshuggah because it’s like their style of music is just like chillin there on its own. like it’s complicated (maybe not complicated for students of music but complicated for casual listeners who just listen to music) but it’s not in your face, not “our music is superior because we use complex time signatures and shit” kind of complicated. it’s like metal that just so happens to be musically interesting. not gate keepers of music trying to be interesting first, and then making it metal. all i can say is that Meshuggah is just its own thing and being your own thing is very respectable.

But in this case I'm not disappointed at all.
I like this even more than some of their older songs.
