I don't have an English degree but I started creative writing as a hobby 7 years ago when I was 14. I have a lot of work to show from the years I've spent on this between poems and entire (fiction) books. I want to try getting a writing career despite my lack of higher education in a related field.

Always wanted to go to film school to get into screen writing and/or editing or directing, doing a first year English major to get a foot in the door, as there’s no film school where I live, so see where that takes me🎉

It's also good to enroll in journalism and mass communication online/ open degree or a diploma alongside your Eng Hons degree. It really helps. This coming from an English graduate with ten years of experience.
