The Rocky (1976) Filming Locations You've Never Seen Before in 2020 is not just another Rocky Philadelphia movie locations tour. Please join me (Tampa Jay) for it is my turn to "Go The Distance", and bring you a very thorough and heartfelt journey through the streets of Philly. This is the latest update of the Rocky Filming Locations; included, the Rocky dock scene location, where Rocky should of broke Bob's thumb. Also, the location of where the Rocky "Gonna Fly Now" montage running scene begins. At the end, I take my own Rocky run through Philadelphia. I thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy this video. There is much ahead my friends. #rocky #filminglocations #gothedistance #keeponpunching #philadelphia #creed #inspiration #rockysteps #2020 #boxing

I was six years old in 1976. My dad took me to see Rocky with my two brothers. No other movie has ever had the effect that Rocky did on me; before or after. It is by far my most favorite movie of all time. It kind of makes me sad to see the effects time has had on many of the locations, but I really appreciate the effort you took to make this video. I thoroughly enjoyed evry bit of it.

A Rocky marathon was on today and watching it is such a painful reminder of how good things were back in the 70s and 80s compared to where we are as a country today.

This is currently the BEST video on YouTube covering the various shooting location of ROCKY.
I lived in Philly from 1962 until 2003 and can attest to the accuracies in this video. Well done!

What I love about they are Rich or Poor, living in mansions or dumpy little houses, they are so, so proud to fly the Stars and Stripes, the patriotism of Americans is very impressive!
Never lose it, America, you really are the hope of the world!
Thanks for a great video, friend...Well done, awesome!!

Honestly, I don’t know why but this has got to be one of the most entertaining videos on YouTube. It’s amazing how gritty everything was back in 76, and the same grittiness remains today. Outstanding work.

Almost as entertaining as the actual movie. And you have the same kind of humble demeanor as Rocky. Well done, sir. Well done. Yo. You did it

This is a great video. You put a lot of effort into it. Finding the exact places and viewing angles of the original filming locations and showing us how the surroundings look today is truly amazing. A truly moving way to give us a link to the past.

Well a little segment of your video brought back some childhood memories of mine. You showed an old ship as you were driving past it (12:59) and I thought that ship looked familiar. So I looked it up and sure enough it was the ship that my parents and I attended an auction (back in 1984) for it when they were getting rid of the stuff off of it. The SS United States. My family used to have a bunch of stuff from it including a barber chair that sat in our living room. My dad actually was on the local news when he bought that chair. Thanks for showing that little segment. Put a smile on my face. “America’s Flagship”. It was built in my home town at the shipyard where my granddaddy retired from. 🙂

Tampa Jay's attention to detail is remarkable. He's on point with every window, every fence, every building that Rocky passed by in the movie- as well as locations and buildings many fans either overlooked or never noticed.
Great job!
