How Le Saunier de Camargue Fleur de Sel is Harvested & Made

Показать описание
#FleurDeSel; also known as the caviar of salt, is harvested by hand from the uppermost layer of sea salt. Each container is even signed by the Master Salt Raker that harvested the batch of salt! The traditional expertise of Le Saunier de Camargue makes its delicate crispiness unequaled. The beautiful shape of its crystals and the subtlety of its aromas will both reveal & enhance the flavors of any dish!
In the summer, when the wind stops blowing, millions of salt crystals form on the surface of the water of the Aigues-Mortes salt marshes of France to produce Le Saunier de Camargue – Fleur De Sel. By July, these “salt crystals” are ready to be hand-raked by our Master Salt Rakers bringing you a truly unique, authentic and natural finishing salt.
This traditional production of our Fleur de Sel contributes to the protection on an extraordinary ecosystem in the natural reserve of Aigues-Mortes, South of France. Taking care of our salt marches for many decades has allowed over 500 species and plants to call it home.
