I'll keep driving my 2012 Toyota Corolla with 144K miles. More dependable than any of these new cars and will probably last me another 150K miles without any problems.

I know it's not a "car", but my choice for best bang for the buck is the Ford Maverick hybrid truck. $20k and 42mpg city.

Nissan CVT's, don't walk away, run. After just a few years the cost of replacing the CVT will exceed the value of the vehicle.

Would love a video focused on suvs that are the least marked up right now. This video seems like cheapest cars made with cheapest gas prices? The mark up is the deal breaker

I'm very relieved to hear about the subaru outback cvt success so far! I'm about to buy my first vehicle (a subaru with a cvt) and the cvt debates have made me hesitant and nervous. 😖

I have a 2017 Nissan Sentra SV with a black/tan interior and paint called blue pearl with a sunroof which is not too common on Sentra's. I've changed the fluid in it 2 times and now approaching 3 times which I am near 90, 000 miles. I had the door replaced in a accident and it was valued at 15.000 dollars. I am almost done paying it off in December and so far no issues with the car. The CVT shifts fine as it did the first day I got it. Best advice I can give anyone who buys a Nissan with a CVT is whenever you change the transmission fluid every 30, 000 miles, change the radiator fluid. overtime the fluid breaks down and causes the water to get hotter. It needs the fluid to be in top shape in order to keep the transmission fluid cool. I change it whenever I change the transmission fluid and the car has been just fine so far.

I purchased a 22 Hyundai venue just a little over a week ago. I was able to get it for MSRP. So far my MPG driving locally has been close to 40 miles per gallon.

I own a 2022 Kia Forte, and although there was a 1500 mark up, I did manage to get them to drop $500 as a military discount. I then got 1.9% financing so I am very happy.

Odd that you overlook the Versa (in "S" trim) with a manual transmission. It's a lot cheaper and unlike the CVT, there are no reliability concerns. If affordable to buy (and also maintain for that matter) is the goal, you really should look into that. Pretty happy with my 2016 Versa S. It's a base model, with manual-everything, but for an A-to-B car, it's been pretty hard to beat.

I can't buy something with an auto.

Limits my options, and means I may never buy a new car. Went to buy a GR86 last night...$7000 mark up. Walked out

So it seems like mileage no longer plays a factor in the price of a used vehicle. Any insight on that?

Bought my Spark LS exactly one year ago $14500 MSRP PLUS a $1500 GMAC rebate. I manually shift and roll down the windows. L O V E I T for a city car and so EASY to do maintenance on it ! I wish I could buy another as a spare but Chevrolet dealer told me not a chance to order one any longer.

Good recommendations. A quick search on Auto Trader showed a total of 6 of these new vehicles available in the greater Austin, Texas area, using $22k as the maximum advertised price. Supply remains the big problem.

Your pronunciation of Hyundai:
The second syllable is correct as in day.
The first syllable requires a stronger y. It’s a Korean sound that doesn’t always translate over into English one. You just have to make both the H and the Y individual sounds and then put them together. And it rhymes with sun.

Stay away from NISSAN, their cars have issue with "Engine" burning oil.
If you have a NISSAN (especially) Rouge, check your muffler exhaust for oils (even if the cars is new) you will see the oils dripping

Enjoyed this one, guys. I think the best ones are the Kia Soul or the Hyundai Venue.

I've actually looked at like 8 out the 10 on the list for my son and frankly none on the list fit him physically or appealed to him. I think the best value is the VW Jetta S 6MT.

Chevy should make the Spark electric in place of the Bolt and introduce it on the Fourth of July.

Kia/Hyundai all marked up $4k in Northeast

Doesn’t the Kia Soul have a combustion hazard of sorts?
