Thanks Dan, went jade hunting in some glaciofluvial deposits, just south of you for my birthday in April, found some really good specimens in river rock form, tested for hardness and density and felt pretty sure once I saw the transparency that I was on the jade. Thanks for confirming it :) It was a blast doing research and trying to figure out where to look. Im pretty sure it all came from your neck of the woods hitching rides on the glaciers, but Im excited to investigate further to see if there is a closer source :)

I won't hate on people thinking that it's serpentine, the color can be similar and despite a jagged appearance sports a similar color. The only problem being that talc-like texture that it usually has, and hardness difference. Even some serpentine can go higher on the hardness despite typically being softer. Looks like a great haul! 😁 Jade all the way
