What is SCHG?
Also known as the Schwab U.S. Large-Cap Growth ETF, this fund tracks as closely as possible, the total return of the Dow Jones US large cap growth total stock market index. Currently, SCHG has 251 holdings, with the top ones being Apple, Microsoft, and Nvidia.

What is VUG?
Also known as the Vanguard Growth ETF that seeks to track the performance of the CRSP US large cap growth index. VUG has 188 holdings and many similar stocks such as Apple, Microsoft, and Nvidia. Many of these growth ETFs have similar characteristics and vary slightly.

What is QQQM?
The newer yet smaller version of QQQ, that also tracks the Nasdaq 100 Index. The biggest difference between the two is whether you actively trade for the additional liquidity or you plan to buy and hold long term. The nasdaq 100 currently has 101 holdings, with companies strictly traded on the Nasdaq excluding financial companies.

I have a 3 fund portfolio but I have finally decided to invest in ETFs, alongside. I’m looking at SCHD, VOO, XLK or SCHG.

Thank you for this very informative breakdown. I own SCHG, QQQM and VUG currently in my portfolio. After watching your video, I think I'll be streamlining it down to just QQQM and SCHG. Once again, thanks for all the info.

I really debated between QQQM & SCHG. After quite a bit of deliberation, I ultimately chose SCHG. Very happy with my decision. SCHG is serving me well.

I'm new to investing and so far I invested in VOO for my roth ira. SCHD got my attention and I am debating whether I should invest it in my brokerage account or roth ira. any thoughts on which is the best course of action?

I have 4 distinct portfolios. My foundational portfolio consists of SPLG & SCHG (60%). My dividend portfolio consists of SCHD, FDVV, JEPQ, DGRW & DGRO (25%). My international portfolio consists of DXJ, LVHI, INCO, & VYMI (12%). My alternative investments portfolio consists of GLDM, FBTC (3%).

Great video, I like your strategy. We can all learn from one another.

I have 3 ETF’s as the foundation to my portfolio for retirement when I’m 55.
Foundational ETF VOO 50%
High risk, High reward growth SCHG 25%
Safe /stability dividend ETF SCHD 25%

I add to all 3 on a monthly basis keep them growing DCA.
I’ll shift to more aggressive dividend contribution when I’m in my 50s

I have long had VUG equivalent Vigix in my 401k, and it’s a freaking train giving me piles of money. I love it. Volatility is there, but I Can consistently draw from it as needed. Now that I’m retired, I cant quit it. I will keep it forever, even after I roll my 401k to vanguard. Maybe I change to VUX at that point, because I can’t own an institutional share then.

Hi Danny, thank you for the detailed information and clarification regarding some of the most popular growth ETFs.
Would alternating between qqqm and SCHD on monthly basis sound a good or bad idea? Given the fact the each one of these two etfs tracks a different index. I meant, if you alternate between them, you get the exposure to both indices.
Thank you once again!

I have just swapped to SCHG from QQQM due to the slightly higher performance, and impending 1 to 4 split. I like the lower share price to minimize the future nightmare of dealing with fractional shares at taxtime. I wish I had chosen average instead of FIFO 40 years ago.

Can you make a video about QGRW and compare it to other growth ETFs? I’m interested in whether its alleged quality screening is effective in downside markets.

How can you get QQQM in the UK? Thanks for the advice 👌

Question, do they provide a mode for using the full native resolution and FOV. Not anchored or smooth follow. Just rendering at full native 1080p edge to edge with no tracking?

With the air 2 pro model, this was the mode which it had as it had no movement tracking without software on an external device. This is the type of mode i am asking about.

I think SCHG better than VUG and QQQM but if you hold all three, you will be fine! Then add couple of decided etf like SCHD. And DGRO and JEPQ perfect

Have SCHG and QQQM, why have they performed so differently? Does QQQM have any chance of catching up or should I ditch it for more SCHG
