This scene is an example of the great writing and excellent acting in the series.
It is well done on some many levels that it's essence is what makes the series so re-watchable after all these years.

I don't think Stana ever looked more beautiful in 6 seasons of Castle than she did at 1:54 to 2:02. Her eyes are beyond description! I understand the writers are created drama and sexual tension but any guy in that situation would have made a move. Up to this point in the series, Castle was used to dating beautiful women and Beckett had always kept him at arms length. As much as he may have wanted her, he was not going to jeopardize their 'relationship', such that it is.

In the halloween episode of castle, the one where Alexis told her dad that she was to old to go trick or treat, Castle was dressed up as his character from Firefly, which is another series starring with Nathan Fillion
