I bought a house in 2021. The insurance and property taxes have doubled since then, and now costs more than I ever paid in rent in my life. I feel that I would be better off living in a studio apartment in a warehouse again and investing the money in anything else.

housing Prices are too high. With rates not subsidised in ’24 and mortgage still high, currently seeking alternatives to maximise savings without an RV move or taking a loan. I’m seriously contemplating the latter.

I've been watching the housing market closely, Prices have been skyrocketing for years. It's going to be tough for first-time buyers to enter the market." how can one diversify $280k reserve .

A lot of people hoping for a big correction in home prices, news flash, you might be disappointed unless we see a dramatic shift in supply through new construction or a surge in listings prices are likely to stay high or even rise modestly despite affordability challenges.

Sooo this whole video was basically their ad for Churchill.
MY GOD, their standards have tumbled.

Mortgage rates are currently at an all time high since 2000(25 years) and based on statistics on inflation, we might see that number skyrocket further, a 30-year fixed rate was only 5% this time last year, so do I just keep waiting for a housing crash before buying or redirect my focus to the equity market

I’m in Florida and the housing market here over the last 7-8 years is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Homes bought for $130K in 2015 are now going for $590K. I’m talking about tiny, poorly built 950 sq ft boxes in mediocre neighborhoods. Nicer homes that were $300K a decade ago? Now $750K+. Insane.

This is all one big Churchill Mortgage ad

1:24 - The prediction that home prices will keep rising modestly in 2025 seems like good news for homeowners, but definitely tough for buyers waiting on a big price drop

They’re trying to sugar coat this whole video because it’s definitely not a good time with interest rates being thru the roof. Nothing like a 2-3% like I have when I purchased in 2020… It’s so difficult for many especially the younger generation to even look at this direction of home purchasing..

Saying it's a good thing that housing prices are going up, even though they have already increased by 30-50% since 2020, is so out of touch i can't even wrap my mind around it. Do you realize this means many families will never own?

She said, “these are investments to us, we want to see them go up.”

Some people don’t view homes as investments and the ones that do are about to be incredibly disappointed over the next decade or more

Any long term investment be it housing or stocks, goes up and down in a short term but always trend upwards.

Great video! For 2025, it’s hard to nail down specific predictions for the housing market because it’s not yet clear how quickly or how much the Federal Reserve can bring down inflation and borrowing costs without tanking buyer demand for everything from homes to cars.

An ad 30 seconds into a video clip is a first for me. This should have been left at the end of the clip.

I'm getting worried about the rising housing prices. It seems like it's becoming harder to afford a home these days.

Rachel, in Austin, TX, home prices have dropped 20% ... people who waited are getting great deals. Don't tell people not to wait!

Jade, you said it- your house doubled in value. Good God help us that it doesn’t do that again….. rates of homes have doubled but incomes HAVE NOT. What is hard about this for y’all to understand reality for normal people?

Hi Dave, New subscriber and I am sharing my story. My age is 55 and I have zero debt, 110k in the bank, 35k NVDA shares, 401k $270k, IRA 145K and 2 houses in Bay Area with zero mortgages. Just got a Mercedes SUV as my 3rd car. I started saving after marriage only after marriage but will all this be enough to retire?
