As someone who was never enrolled to go to school, I started working early at the age of 13 and never found myself at a disadvantage in regards to intelligence and Witt, I thought I was quite clever, however now I realise that infact it really was a disadvantage as I now often wonder what I could have achieved had I been given the same opportunity of education, I don't live with regret but I am sure that I'd have at least chased my dreams so now at 48 I've decided to not continue wasting time, I've enrolled for next year to begin my journey into academia, I just want to expose myself not with the learning tools, I can do that online, it's surrounding myself with greater minds that draws me in.

Many people don’t like ”Master and Margarita”.
Bulgakov pointed on the fact, that the worst evil and cruel being is not the Devil himself. Nor any other outer force.
It is always a man himself.
Very recommend. There is a great series too, very book based.

Nikos Kazantzakis, one of the most well known writers in Greece.
On Peterson's site, he suggests the book "The Fratricides" by Nikos.

I've read both. The Russian was sent to the Gulag; the Cretan wrote a great novel on the struggle against the Ottoman Turks. Also : Of Time & the River Thomas Wolfe. Dance to the Music of Time Anthony Powell.
