But one day, the Gods are losing faith and patience to all corrupt Minoan and rogue Contractor so they decided to wipe them out. Fortunately Aldous survived, but he got cursed and blessed in the same time. After the event, he is losing his trust to everyone especially who left him to suffer. So he became into some kind of an Anti Hero until the Lord of Light noticed him as honourable men who can maintain his profession eventhough he has to die. So the Lord of Light made him as a Sacred Guardian of Light (The Insentient) to fill the absence of the Fallen Angel, Argus.
But Why one wing? That because he has to prove his loyalty to Lord of Light in order to avoid the tragedy of the Fallen Angel.
