Innuendo - Queen Obsession cover with orchestra

Live performance of Innuendo, played at the wonderful Castel Sismondo in Rimini (RN), Italy, on the 30th of August 2017.
On that occasion, the band performed the albums “A Night at the Opera” and "A Day at the Races" in their entirety, plus a bunch of other great hits by Queen

I am a massive Queen fan ever since 1986. I own every second that Queen ever recorded and I guess I've listened to Queen for over 20.000 hours in my life. Furthermore: I'm a sound engineer and I play drums, bassguitar, acoustic/electric guitars, piano/keys and I sing, leadvocals and backing vocals. (Just to say, I know a tiny little bit about music in general and Queen in particular) ;-)

I just KNOW how hard this song is. It's practically impossible to cover, especially when it's done live, like this performance. No...it's not flawless. There are some glitches in different parts but given the insane level of difficulty of the song: this is overall a VERY good performance!!

With that many people performing this, live, there is a huge chance some musicians will make some mistakes at some points. But it's at no point cringeworthy. It's very enjoyable. The arrangement also fits the song. A special compliment to mister Stefano Minotti for the lead vocals. The lead vocal of this song is really extremely hard and he pulled it off very nicely!

Also for Marco Modigliani, the sound engineer: having recorded bands, orchestras and choirs myself for years I know how hard it is to create a solid soundscape on productions like this, he did a VERY good job at this, big compliment!

Innuendo is my favourite song of all the 180 + songs Queen ever recorded. I've heard it being raped a lot of times, including at Wembley at april 20 1992 by Robert Plant. I was there, field, front row, right in front of the stage. Robert Plant did an awful rendition and many people raped Innuendo ever since online on Youtube in bad coverversions.

Primero, calificación 10/10
Demasiadas cosas que salvar, y sin embargo. Todo perfectamente encuadrado.
La prueba de fuego y que es lo que la hace imposible de replicar, el solo de Steve Howe. Y sin embargo. Aunque necesitaron a tres guitarras... Les quedó casi impecable...
Señores desde hace dos décadas soñaba ver una interpretación en video de esta obra magistral y TODOS USTEDES. lo hicieron de manera impecable y magistral . Se agradece el gran esfuerzo de cada uno de ustedes. Y abrazo fraterno para todos.
