The single fastest way to destroy your trucking career is by taking cheap freight. STOP TAKING CHEAP FREIGHT.

Watch closely for those construction lane restrictions signs. It's a natural instinct to want to be in the right (slower) lane as a truck driver. I was pulled over for not paying attention and didn't notice the "Trucks use left lane" sign.

I just started trucking drove a bus 20 years. I've learned to move over to allow another truck to enter the expressway, this morning I did this & this truck kept speeding up not allowing me back over while I'm holding up 2nd lane of traffic. Then giving me the figure "such a professional driver"👏👏. These are the kind of drivers that need to find another job away from people.

Right now after the New Year started I called HR at a company I drove for a few years ago. I only wanted the time period I worked there for updating my resume. Ms. Jackie asks if I'm looking for a job?...I say Noooo, not really. I'm sending some feelers out to the Oilfield since a boom is starting...She sez let me call ya back in a few minutes ? OK. Well, here I am out OTR for them again. Lol.
Smaller company, Great Family. Great Office People. They were in the boat You just talked about. Drivers had too many violations of all kinds. He was almost uninsurable. On Probation with DOT. Scheduled for Full blown audit in June 2022. His new Safety Director had sent several longtime drivers down the road.
He needed Good Drivers. And there I am, Spotless Drivers License, no points on my Score. 23rd Year with my CDL, NO Moving Violations, No Accidents. Years ago I got an Overweight Ticket at St. George, UT with a load if Pigs. And in my Dairy Tanker days I picked up a Falsifying my Logbook, long story there!...against my gut instinct I came back to working here. It's actually a good deal being scrutinized so closely. Lotta years and I picked up some bad habits. They got weeded out in 3 months time ! I think I have really matured as a Driver. Good topic and video, Sir ! Thank you !

I got a ticket for being “out of lane” 🙄 He said I wasn’t speeding or anything, I was just too many lanes over and I was in the correct lane for the freeway split, 4 miles out from it. 🙄

A truck turn out from behind me when I had my blinker on waiting for 4 cars to pass and I had room to still to merge over well as I’m gliding over he runs up my trailer and I got a ticket for over taken .. witch I don’t think was right the cop said that it’s call a scum bag move …. But him speeding trying to catch his buddy’s going 80 in a 70 guess he didn’t want to let me over/he was the one overtaken according to the definition
