Usually, CES, the world's biggest tech show, takes place in Las Vegas at the beginning of January. This year, the show has been forced to go online.

another use for nfc might be to tap phones when each phone is locked into vs mode so that they can just bluetooth/wifi up and without using the net the 2 phones can be in vs mode. also you might want to grab something off someone else's phone and tapping phones is a kinda consent. Games could offer services like buy one get 1 or 2 copies free for friends or family members. also someone one could be trying to promote something on the street and you touch phones to give your consent and maybe decide to change you energy supplier or visit some restaurant with your free discounts.
