Actually, why are Jedi and Sith enemies. Sith just want to use their power for selfish gain. Jedi just want to use their powers either help others or to find peace for themselves.

Neither really stops the other from achieving the others goals, unless either one decides to be enemies (I think both sides are making it harder for each other without any real reason)
