Boris Johnson pledges UK support if Sweden were to come under attack

Boris Johnson has promised to support Sweden against potential Russian threats in any way necessary as he travelled to the country to sign a mutual security agreement, with its governments mulling Nato membership in the wake of the Ukraine invasion. Holding a press conference with the Swedish prime minister, Magdalena Andersson, Johnson said the type and extent of possible support would largely be governed by what Sweden might ask for. Johnson is due to go to Finland to sign a parallel deal with the Finnish prime minister, Sauli Niinistö

Saw that Boris Johnson visited the Swedish prime minister, Magdalena Andersson. Among other matters they went for a bit of rowing, Boris at the oars... The sight of it was almost symbolic, the "boat of UK" moving in one direction with Boris looking back... Fortunate he had Magdalena in the back looking ahead! 🙂

This is as much about sharing intel and the same support it has given to Ukraine in line with the US. The US has also made the same assurances. Everyone jumping on this as if only the UK when the US has said the same. Sweden is one of the most peaceful countries on the planet, they threaten no one. They provide a really high standard of living for their people, why should they have to feel threatened because one man and his cronies want to dictate to others.

Boris is more concerned with other countries than he is with his own. We have enough problems here in the UK at the moment. Since we left the EU, we've been more involved in its matters than ever!
