UPDATE: this video was made BEFORE the action button on the iPhone 15 pro was officially announced!

The customizations of the button accomplish most of what I was asking for in this vid but also we should still be able to adjust the bottom buttons too. Even more reason now hahaha

I think the best buttons to put on the lock screen are actually the camera and flashlight tbh. Even if they add customizable buttons I'd still set them to these two

It’s not a no brainer. Why would they let you go to a third party camera app rather than their own? Why would they let you set a timer when they put a new customizable button on the side that’s able to carry that function?

If that is a deal breaker for anyone, you can come to the Android side and get the Google Pixel 8 or pro and get more customization in general but including those 2 lock screen buttons! Currently I have the flashlight and mute ringtone button. I gotta check again to see what else is available to change to.

My guess why they aren’t implementing this feature and maybe never will is that’s too iconic for iPhone and it’s one of the easiest ways to recognise iPhone Lock Screen.

I don’t think they are doing it because the iPhones 15 pro and pro max are having the action button so they don’t want to include other gestures to the Home Screen so people buy the 15 pro and pro max for the action button with different gestures 👍
