LC7 LAZAROS CHRISTODOULOPOULOS

LC7 is a nickname for Lazaros Christodoulopoulos an AEK FC player who signed a 3-season contract for AEK FC as a free transfer, in order to return to his motherland after 3.5 years in Italy. Lazaros Christodoulopoulos solidified his position as the team's main right winger during the 2017-2018 preseason. On 14 September 2017, Lazaros Christodoulopoulos (LC7) sealed the score in the second half with a direct free kick as AEK won 2-1 after an impressive performance against Rijeka at his first match day of 2017-2018 UEFA Europa League. On 24 September 2017, he scored 2 goals, including another wonderful free kick, helping his club come from behind and defeat Olympiakos with the score 0-2 against AEK FC. Mantalos’ goal on the 89th minute completed the comeback and the final whistle put AEK on the top of the table. Lazaros Christodoulopoulos (LC7) was named MVP of the game.
On 23 November 2017, he heads leveller in a home 2-2 UEFA Europa League Stage home game against Rijeka as Andrej Prskalo comes off his line to punch away Anastasios Bakasetas free-kick, but his clearance falls kindly for Christodoulopoulos, who scored into the unguarded net. On 7 February 2018, he opened the score in a 2-1 home Greek cup win game against rivals Olympiakos helping AEK to be promoted to the semi-finals. On 1st of April 2018, in the derby against Panathinaikos Christodoulopoulos reached 200 appearances with all his clubs. Lazaros Christodoulopoulos scored a wonderful bicycle kick in the 94th minute of the Cup semi-final against AEL FC. It was the winning goal that helped AEK advance to the final of Greek Cup. He finished his best season in his career having 47 appearances (16 goals, 4 assists) in all competitions and voted as an MVP for the Greek Superleague by the majority of the Greek Journalists. Lazaros Christodoulopoulos (LC7) manage to won the Greek Superleague Championship title 2017-2018 with the team of AEK FC. Totally Lazaros up to now have made 50 appearances and have 20 Goals with AEK FC.
