Tomahawk Serve Tutorial

At UTT (Ultimate Table Tennis... the Indian premier league for table tennis), I did a segment called Demo Zone. When I first started competing, I remember that this serve drove me crazy so I really wanted to learn it. I hope this helps others do the same. This style serve can be very effective even at the top levels (Dima, Bernie, Sathiyan and while Kenta Matsudaira and Ding Ning do the reverse tomahawk more often... with the backhand side of the racket, they still throw in a traditional tomahawk serve from time to time).

I also mix up the tomahawk by hitting on the backhand side as well...or the bottom of the handle for an exhibition.

I always use the high toss tomahawk serve to get some points right away... Works 90% of time, if executed perfectly!
