Thanks guys for putting the time into showing us these new features.  Been loving the X-T1 that I've had for 3 weeks now (replaced my D3s ... as my D3s was a bit more than I really needed).

My X-T1 arrives Monday, looking forward to using classic chrome. Great camera, great that you keep releasing upgrades and listen to your users!

I never took used my Nikon again since I have my X-T1. This camera is perfectly made for me. Thank You for this video, it was very helpful to understand the new features.

Will there be any video feature firmware upgrades for the Fuji x100s? Love the camera just wish I could shoot some usable video with it too :)

The xt1 was already a great camera when I bought it, firmware 3.0 made it fantastic. Never had used manual focus before, af+mf and backbutton focusing made me try it. Now I almost exclusively use it (along with focus peaking of course) instead of af.

Great video explaining all the new features!

Love the updates, my Fuji cameras are great started with X-Pro1 and now XT-1. What I would really love to see is the bracketing improved, like +/-3 stops, selectable 3, 5, 7, 9 shots and able to do 1/3 stop increments, that would eliminate having to move the camera using the exp comp. and also increase capture time. That would be awesome.

My wish for the next Firmware update for the Fujifilm Xt1 .. "Pixel Mapping" - I am not very happy about sending my camera to the service each time I find a dead pixel and "Pixel Mapping" could solve this problem .. Canon has it, Nikon has it, other brands have it too - and there it is awesome! ;)

Thanks for the video, it helps a lot!
One thing I am really missing with the xt1 is the ability to bracket the exposure more than ±1 stop. Is it something that is in the pipeline for a new update? That would be great. Thanks!

If Fuji releases a new firmware upgrade please add stronger focus peaking colors (reds, blues and whites). I own a couple of manual focus lenses and sometimes it's hard to see the focus peaking colors while MF.

Thanks for all the amazing firmware upgrades till now, and thank you Fuji Guys for your detailed explanation of all features. Keep up the good work.

Hi Fuji Guys,

thanks for the video and the firmware update! Two question though, if I may :1) will Fuji X cameras (apart from 100 series) ever support High Speed Sync flash? Also, 2) is there any engineering obstacle making it impossible to implement higher bracketing increments (+-2 EV and +-3 EV), because I cannot think of any and I believe it is purely a software issue... Thanks

Any news on getting an update to watching/judging a 'long exposure' on the lcd screen? I think Olympus do it, but it would be very handy.

I have recently sold two Lumix micro four thirds bodies and ten lenses and bought an X-T1 with half a dozen lenses. I love the results I'm getting and the new firmware is terrific but there's one feature I really miss, the ability to see zebra stripes or blinking where I've clipped the highlights. I know I can see it in the image playback if i select the detailed view, but there is so much information in that view the actual picture is small. It would be great to be able to see a warning of clipped highlights in normal picture preview after each shot, as I find clipped highlights are one of the easiest ways to ruin a shot when shooting in high contrast situations. The histogram doesn't always make it clear, and I don't want to have to dial in negative exposure compensation all the time "just in case".

The only update that all fuji bodies are lacking is the ability to use high speed sync, with a flash capable of hss. That is probably the only thing keeping me from switching fully. Having to stop down the 56mm 1.2 just to hit that 1/180th is a pain (and that is when the 5D3 comes back out). An ND filter isn't always practical having to screw it on or off i.e. at a wedding. I love all the new features across the board, but I'd happily trade the entire new update to be able to shoot well beyond 1/180th. At least be able to shoot the full 1/4000th with a flash system capable of doing so. Not sure if this is a mechanical issue, or if it can be fixed with an update, but it is something many pro's that are switching, migrating or fully converted to Fuji will NEED at some point.

Another huge feature that I and possibly many others would like to have, is the ability to shoot RAW at ISO 100 or even ISO 50. Especially those wanting to shoot at f/1.2 and f/1.4 in the bright daylight.  Being limited to 1/4000th with ISO 200 is another pain for me. I'm personally not interested in the 1/32, 000 shutter. As 1/4000th is more than enough to stop any action, but if you want a wider aperture than f/2.8, then sometimes ISO 200 can be a deal breaker, forcing you to use an ND filter. Hopefully this will be something that Fuji can address very soon, seeing as there are other brands with lower end devices that are capable of the above.

The upgrade is great! Love my X-T1 even more!

Question about the Lightroom plugin for shooting tethered. Is the plugin going to be offered separately from the PC only tethering option?

From what I understand, Fuji is asking Mac users to:

1. Buy the Fuji PC only app.
2. Buy a PC or, buy a copy of Windows and install on their Mac.
3. Install the Fuji PC only app
4. Download the update for the PC only Fuji tether app.
5. Install the Fuji tether app update
6. Extract the Mac Lightroom tether plugin
7. Delete the Windows installation on the Mac.
8. Reinstall the Mac apps that had to be deleted to install Windows.
9. Hope that all of this didn't grenade their hard drive.

All to get their "Free" Mac tethering plugin for Lightroom?

Tell me this isn't so, please! Will Fuji offer the Lightroom Mac plugin in a way a bit easier for Mac users to purchase?

Firmware 3.11 is now available. I believe it adds some functionality in regard to the still unavailable Lightroom plugin enabling tethered capture. I'm wondering if you may have additional information on the actual plugin? You previously mentioned the possibility of a YouTube video about the plugin. Are you still planning on doing that?

Thanks in advance for anything you can share with us. 8-)

Thanks for the vid. Can I add some things that I miss?
1. With the S5Pro I could leave the drive mode in continuous low all the time, and just press longer to keep on taking pics. With the X-T1 that is not possible without always taking more shots.
2. Wireless remote flash with TTL. S5Pro could do it with Nikon flashes, this more modern body cannot...

Solving these two points would take it from very very good to perfect for me.

Thanks,

Hi! It's a great update, and the more time goes, the better the cameras, but there's still some things that need to be made.

1) In AF+MF mode, it would be nice if we can (choose) to focus manually directly without having to half press shutter to make the AF work and hunt, and only then it's possible to start manually focusing...
2) As mentioned in comments before, that we're not able to come back to the full view after manually focusing in AF+MF mode is really weird, a simple press on Focus Assist that would make to composition come back to normal would be so simple, just like in normal MF mode
3) Be able to choose our custom Q modes with the front or rear dials
4) Make a Silent Mode available as an Fn button.
5) In Silent Mode, automatically switch to silent Electronic Shutter!
6) When halfway releasing the shutter, keep the focus where it's Probably the most annoying thing about my Fujis, and it's been requested for quite a while...

And for Long Term, an X-V1 (V for Video...) would be a great camera, to fight against the great Panasonic GH4! And make clickless Cine Lenses, or let Zeiss do them ;) It's frustrating to have the excellent Fuji glass only for photography, and a GH4 and m43 glass for video...

Thanks! And keep the updates coming! :)
