Wendy’s is known for low prices, but can you count on those prices staying put? Recent reports about a switch to “dynamic” pricing caused a stir, but the fast food chain now says those reports are misleading.

With Uber it’s more expensive there is traffic and it takes a longer time to reach your destination. With Wendy’s it’s more expensive when it takes more time to get your lunch.

Yeah. I've pretty much cut fast food out of my life because I'm sick of the huge increases and getting in return a crappy item. Cost more for less when I can just make my own.

I think it’s going to backfire. Fast food sells are falling. Many of us are moving away from it. Wendy’s implementing dynamic pricing will assist in keeping many from eating there.

Is the food quality going to improve when the up-charge happens? If not they’re taking advantage of the customer and that’s their choice and my choice is not to do business with companies that have shady practices.

I heard friends talking about this, while literally on our way back from the grocery store, where we could all see how much food prices have drastically risen. People's lack of pattern-matching makes me want to jump off a bridge. "Is the problem that the economy is in a flaming tailspin? No, it's Wendy's that is to blame." You think Wendy's doesn't know exactly how this is going to be received? They're just the FIRST restaurant that's going to be doing this.

People are tired of the high prices and have been cutting back on spending, the surge pricing will only make things worse for these businesses.

I once Loved Wendy's Baconator sand, but I swiched to buying a 5 dollar biggie burger combo to get more food cheaper.. I havent been there in 3 years since I dont go out post covid...The consumer will have the last word for sure.
