Hitchhiking Journey across Deepest Mongolia

In July 2022 I went to Mongolia to spend 2 weeks exploring various sights of the country. I hitchhiked across Mongolia from Ulaanbaatar to Russian Altai following its main road that I personally call "Trans-Mongolian highway". Along my way I met a lot of good people and visited a number of peculiar places. In this video, I share my adventures with you.

Enjoy!

I love your videos. I find them so refreshing from the usual YouTube videos of travel people who seem to be selling more the (false, hyped?) image of a lifestyle than showing us places and the people that inhabit them. Your videos are truly most unpretentious and therein lies their priceless value. Thank you!

I love that you teach us about the history too. This channel has shown me places I never would’ve imagined seeing otherwise.

You seem to attract good people everywhere you go and what another great adventure that was. Now I know the official religion of Mongolia is actually Toyota!

Went to Mongolia in 2009. Stayed in Ulaanbaatar for 2 nights, and then two nights out in a ger in the Gorkhi Terelj National Park. Loved it. Out of all the countries I've visited, it's probably my favourite. In the countryside, it's because there's no one

So many pleasant interactions, the Mongolian people seem exceptionally lovely. I have also never seen so many Toyotas in my life!

That guy who took you for a ride in the very beginning, he has such good vibes honestly. I wish people where still like that around my place. Not just the hitchhiking, but the positive attitude, to travelling, to life. Where I'm from, hitchhiking isn't a thing, people are so busy, they hate you having time for yourself, and travelling means to buy hotel and fancy resteraunt for 2 weeks. Your videos are so much more like my travels, down to the camo we wear, hah. Over the time I watched your videos, they went from interesting travel blog, to watching a friend stalk around the most forlorn places, so we can have a little taste too. I'm just a poor wanderer, so I can't donate any money. But if we ever meet on travels, I will be sure to have some noodles and tea to spare for a fellow friend. May your ways be safe, your bed dry and your meal warm, whereever you end up.

I'm sure you get this often, but man, I wish I could travel the way you do by backpacking everywhere. To have that kind of freedom and self-assuredness must be awesome. Thanks for documenting your journeys and sharing them!

My Wife and I really like your videos. Based on your video about Mongolia we are making plans to go there. We have been to Inner Mongolia but not Outer Mongolia. Your English is great and you are very knowledgeable about the places you visit! Keep up the great work!

This channel does what so many tv shows try to do and fail at; showing the unkmown and desolate places of the world (unknown to my Western eyes) without making it dramatic or sensationalist. Truly eye opening and mindblowing! People living their normal lives everywhere, seeing simple acts of human kindness everywhere, and seeing coca cola everywhere haha.

Thank you for taking us on these adventures

It is amazing to see both urban development and traditional lifestyle (like horses and yurts and monasteries) in the same area.

You are a great ambassador for young Russians. It's so sad that the war in Ukraine has caused such a rupture in our relationships. Please keep on posting your excellent videos. Some day the war will end and we can become friends again.

Your channel is highly underrated. I remember discovering your channel with the Vorkuta video and at that moment you had around 2k subscribers so it's nice to see you've grown quite a bit
