I have seen this happen twice in person, and both times it felt like the car that hit the person was totally blind. My theory is that some drivers are only aware of other cars and their brain completely ignores pedestrians. I think in the us the punishment for this should be harsher, then maybe drivers would pay attention.

When ever I walk a crosswalk I'm completely watching what the cars are doing. Even though I have the right of way, that doesn't really matter much when you get hit. But I do have the right of way. 😵‍💫🤪😁😎

No just distracted by their phone....as a kid I got hit in a crosswalk on my bike and I flew onto the hood and flipped. Cop said the illegal didn't have a license nor registration or insurance....let's just say bad day for him.

The driver is to be in control of the vehicle. Period. Though i'm tired of pedestrians always assuming that all vehicles will see them. Have a little self preservation...

As a pedestrian, when you look at the car and it's rolling at you and not stopping, fuking run so you don't just get bowled over like that. They were staring at the car as it hit them. The driver is wrong, but it's our job to stay safe and not rely on good Samaritans driving.😮😂
