Knuckleball are somewhat more or less better for when it’s long range, and in the middle of the field.
Curve/Whipped Shots are MUCH better for kicks from angles, and close range shots that guarantee goals.

Heres How does each effect works

Knuckleball:the knuckle ball depends on the force and your accuracy also the ball depends clear example is the jabulani and al rihla the jabulani is really round which makes air harder to grip the ball which causes the weird effect the while the al rihla is more modern and has more way of having grip in the air the first ball which had easier grip and less knuckle was the 2014 world cup ball

Whippage:This effect depends a lot on your striking part of the foot and area of the ball because of the turn of the spin it causes that whip and makes it perfect
