Tactful Teaching - Seriation & Ordering (Maths Lesson for kids - Ascending & Descending)

Here comes another video adding to the 'Tactful Teaching' series. A clear concept is a strong foundation for further knowledge on the topic. We have put together some simple teaching method to introduce seriation, ordering and enhance the base for teaching ascending and descending numbers. Number sequencing and numerical concepts become more challenging is the child's root concept is unclear. With this video we encourage the educators working with children to lay a strong foundation of ascending and descending numbers.

Simple concept of arranging things / objects in a sequence of 'big to small' or 'small to big' is the base to building upon concepts like ascending numbers and descending numbers. Ordering is what most children unknowingly do with a lot of common toys like stackers and towers of blocks and rings. To order and seriarte is the term that subtly gets introduced at school which needs to integrate in to the child's past skill and learning to develop further.
