There's a big difference between accidentally misgendering or dead naming a person (especially if you're new to what they now identify as or go by) I know personally I have made the mistake with a few friends and they've been extremely understanding because I knew them before; I occasionally slip up and they're ok with that - people genuinely know when it's unintentional and as long as you apologize it's alright, that's what I've learned.
