Ayo, the motor you showed for the celica was actually the 180hp 1.8l 2zz-ge found in the GT-S variant of the 7th gen celi. That’s the GOOD motor for that gen lmao

There is some cars like the prelude that looks like it is RWD, but, stuff like the AWD Subies don't need to be RWD.

As an owner of an AE111 (Levin BZ-G), I can confirm it's definitely a blast to drive. They can still be found around $10k USD after importing costs (to the US at least) and it's very inconspicuous so you don't get a whole lot of attention. People see it as "just another old Toyota" and don't notice that it's RHD. I don't like standing out, so that works perfectly fine for me. Car was meant to be a competitor to the Honda Integra of the time, the 4AGE 20V Blacktop that came with it (AE111 models only, not AE110, beware when searching) has a 8k RPM redline. The engine sound is beautiful

Mark is pretty good with knowing a wife variety of cars. In Japan there are tax brackets according to engine size you pay more according to the size which can affect sales especially if the competition has small engine size. Some of these manufacturers had RWD in there line up ...as much as people like RWD the sales aren't as same thing happened with the ending of coupes and everybody going to SUVs now. I don't know if people are just boring nowadays. I get what you're saying about it would be cool if these cars were RWD. Great vid.👍🏾🏎️🔰

mazda mx 6 had 200 hp and 4ws on j-spec model, so its a good track car

I often say that the fourth and fifth gen Honda Prelude should’ve been rwd, if it did that would’ve been such a good S-Chassis competitor

The first gen maxima the 82-84 910 Datsun maxima was rear wheel drive. It also came with a L24 2.4I6 making it basically a 4 door 240Z. Also could come with a 2.8L LD28 diesel I6. Hidden gem car.
