Dr. Mayank Pandey is a Professor and the Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad, Prayagraj, India. He earned his B.E. from GB Pant Engineering College, Pauri, Garhwal, his M.Tech from IIT Kharagpur, and his Ph.D. from MNNIT Allahabad. His research interests include Software Defined Networks, Wireless and Mobile Networks, P2P Networks, Fog/Edge Computing, Formal Methods, Internet of Things, Video Analytics for Crowd Management and Control, and AI/ML for Geoinformatics. Dr. Pandey has been recognized with several honors, including the Young Faculty Research Fellowship under the Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme by MeitY, Government of India, in 2018, and Best Paper Awards at the IEEE International Conference on Advanced Networks and Telecommunications Systems (ANTS 2016) and the International Conference on Distributed Computing and Networking (ICDCN 2018). He is a member of professional bodies such as IEEE and ACM. In addition to his academic and research pursuits, Dr. Pandey has led projects focused on crowd management strategies during large gatherings, notably the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj.
