Great idea! I've been using a small icing spatula, but the skewer would probably work better.

I am thinking of doing applesauce, but all these things like altitude and bubbles are scaring me away. I figured out that I live in a low altitude city (GTA represent #gojays #pillarcouldofcaughtit) so cooking time shouldn't be an issue, but in terms of bubbles if I didn't do it right, then the jar won't seal at all correct?
