The primary clip is a motion-stabilized tracking shot of space shuttle Discovery lifting off and rolling over during the STS-114 launch. This is complemented with STS-124 mission audio, engineering film, television broadcast video, and crew cabin video. Also includes on-board video taken from cameras on a solid rocket booster and the external tank during flight STS-132. Produced and edited by Ivan Myles. Footage provided by NASA.
This short video consists of high definition 1080p source footage combined with 480p videos from cameras on the shuttle. The video is 60 frames per second but please note that the cameras on the shuttle were recording at 30 frames per second. For optimal viewing select "Quality" / "Higher Picture Quality" from the YouTube settings.
