How do you figure out without needing a Dentist if your tmjd is muscular or joint related? My dentist doesn't want to do a cbct scan. (I live in Europe and our healthcare system is more like gatekeepers policy where you don't get the care you need, but they only care about keeping you away from expensive scans) so I have no idea where my severe tmjd comes from. Haven't had a proper scan, haven't had a cervical scan, since I have loads of neck and shoulder pain.. So I have no idea the reason why. I'd love to know, even though if treatment is the same. Mine started after a pulled upper molar and a few root canal treatments. But I also have tight neck and pelvis issues. So why knows what is what anymore these days.
