Actually I prefer to go to register at Publix even if the coupon is expired. They mostly won’t pay attention to the coupons unless it’s not scanning. I have had issue where the cashier only use the store coupon once when I bought multiple, but I just told them it’s limit 1 per item, not limit 1 per customer.

I had the same exact experience at Publix a couple of months ago. Which is rare at Publix. The self checkout cashier came right over ask me from the get go about coupons. Suggested I go to regular check out line. I said if you don’t mind I like doing my checkout right here. She got so close to me. I begged her to move back. She didn’t. I can’t have anyone that close to me. Anywho I was in tears. Called the Manager over. This one didn’t have much empathy. Another rarity for Publix. The Manager did say she was sorry about this but not sincere. I normally go to another Publix which I will be doing in the future period. You have nerves of steel Kayla and your super sweet.

I had a bad experience with a cashier at a self checkout and called the manager when I got home to report him. I let them know that I was very uncomfortable with the way I was treated with using coupons. You have a right to use self checkout if that is your preference. I also would have kept the expired coupons. She didn’t have a right to take those from you. The manger should know about an employee making customers feel harassed.

You could print out more Tena coupons and take them next time with your receipt. Just tell them you forgot to use them. I've done that before and they've always been really nice about it.

I work for a grocery store and what she did was stealing. I have had DG do that to me and I walked behind the counter and got my coupons. Stores have loss prevention so the cashier's job is not to stalk and make the customer uncomfortable so they do not come back.

You shouldn't be treated this way, call in ask for a manager (head manager) you are a person of value, integrity and honesty.

Publix accepts other store coupons like winn Dixie Kroger and target. Also if you are having difficulty with expired then cut the top off so the date does not show
Publix gets paid for all there coupons. I have seen a change with the cashier's but there policy has not changed. You were to nice. I would have told her to go away because it is self checkout and I can do it myself. Publix is the reason I never throw coupons away. I have from at least 5 years ago.

I used to have the same attitude as you. The thing is, as inflation gets worse, more people - especially the elderly on fixed incomes - will be relying on coupons to eat at all some days. How would you have felt if you had watched that person treat an elderly person that way? Or someone who may have been right, but wouldn't press on? The cashiers job is to accept coupons. She needs to learn that. You should at least complain to the manager so that they can watch out for other customers.

The same thing has happened to me but she was so rude a made me go to a regular register because she said she didn’t have time to watch me do my coupons and run self checkout. Then when I went to a regular line she stood there while the other cashier rang me up 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄 I don’t do shady couponing and it’s so frustrating that people don’t let me enjoy saving money 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Coupon police 🧾 👮‍♂️🙄 you gotta teach her. That’s what I do. I repeatedly go to the same coupon police officer so that when the manager comes over and lets her know I’m right….she won’t treat the next person like that….and she definitely won’t treat me like that again. I like to think I’m doing it for the next couponer that isn’t willing to speak up. Especially Publix. They’re elite when it comes to customer service in my opinion. Unless you have a crap manger. Then skip that Publix 😂
