Nabbing A Horse

The plaintiff says the defendant conspired with his ex-wife to come on his property and steal his horse from his ranch. He’s suing for what he’s owed. The defendant says she and the plaintiff had a deal — use of her semi-retired horse in exchange for free boarding for her other horse. She claims he was abusing the older horse, so she rescued her. She’s countersuing for money she’s now out.

This case is such a great example of why JM interrupts and gets irritated so quickly at times. Litigants start talking about things not related to the case and she only wants her questions answered directly.
