I like how the series showcases very early on just how strong Finn can be. First off when he single-handedly kills the Lich with a fucking sweater (at that point if you sealed off his well of power he'd basically be gone until some other poor sap fell into the well like PB did when Ice King threw her in.), and when Goliad, a mind-reading creature was bested by him due to his sheer will alone to out-do her in a mental battle long enough for her to get distracted.

Even though it was a struggle for him, Finn was outright resisting a brainwashing and a mind read in real time and we just didn't think much about it at the time.

This is one of the few kids shows where letting the characters say “fuck” just every once in a while would be so funny and not needlessly edgy. Like I’m so sure one of the storyboard artists complained that they couldn’t think of a better line to describe a moment than “what the fuck” but they just aren’t allowed to use swears. So tragic
